Potential candidates must have the following:

 

• Passion for children

• Punctual, Reliable, Responsible & Organised.

• Be at least 18 years old

• Have a matric

• Have a valid drivers license

• No Criminal record

• Minimum of 1 years driving experience & have a reliable car (AA tested) with seat belts at the back.

• Have experience with children and be able to provide references (not family members)

• Preferably have done a child care or Au Pair course

• Preferably have a first aid course

• A student in the field of child care, psychology, teaching is a bonus

• Au Pair Experience is essential, most of our families will not accept Au Pairs without Au Pair experience!

Being an au pair can be the most rewarding job in the world, but it is also exhausting and draining, and we will only accept candidates who are truly passionate about children, have patience, and understand children’s needs. You are being entrusted with other people’s children and it is very important that you treat these children with the same love and respect that they get from their parents. If you are just looking for a job to earn some extra money or pass the time then au pairing is not for you.
